The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Bible Club will be meeting at 7:15 a.m. tomorrow Room S106. All are welcome, you do not need to be an athlete.
Today’s “Word of Wisdom” for School Violence Awareness Week are: "Go to a safe place if you are upset, scared, or threatened. Spend time with friends who make good choices and in places that are safe and supervised by adults. Visit the information and activities table set up in the Cafeteria during all lunches.
Empower Hour is BACK beginning today and every Tuesday and Thursday in the Library from 2:40 to 3:40 pm. This is a free full-hour tutoring program offering students academic help.
Seniors: Financial aid info night will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6pm in the auditorium. Mark your calendars now!
Juniors and Seniors: There will be a campus tour of Rowan University on Monday, November 18th. Students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average to attend. See Mrs. Foushee in Guidance for more information and to get a permission slip. There are a limited number of spots available.

"School Violence Prevention Week" begins today through Friday. School violence is youth violence that occurs on school property, on the way to or from school or a school-sponsored event. A young person can be a victim, a perpetrator, or a witness of school violence. Every morning, Words of Wisdom will be announced to help STOP school violence. Today’s “Word of Wisdom” are: Stop and think before saying or doing anything that could hurt others. Stay in control and always act in nonviolent and respectful ways toward others.

The Northstar Debate Team defeated Steinert yesterday. The team was led by Sugeily Bello and Patrice Leonard. Patrice received the award of “Best Speaker”. Great job Debate Team!

The deadline is today at midnight. Without a contract signed, you will not be permitted to attend the Homecoming Dance.

High school is the transition into adulthood, and the challenge is upon you to respect other people's feelings and rights, as you would want them to respect yours. Come out to Veteran's Park tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. to support the Boy's Soccer Team on their Senior night celebration under the lights as they look to improve to 5 wins. Be sure to bring that Nottingham School Spirit and bring the noise. "Gooooo ... Stars!"
The Nottingham Girl's Soccer Team defeated Hamilton West on Saturday 3-0. Bridget Cutty had her second hat trick of the season! Goals were assisted by Jocelyn Castaldo and Maggie Cutty. Come out and support the Girl's Soccer Team as they take on South Brunswick today at 4:00 p.m.!
On Saturday, the following students participated and had some in the Varsity D division of the Shore Coaches Invitational at Holmdel Park. Mo Toure finished 17th out of 176 runners, Christian Morolda also had a course PR, while Matt Alvarez, Ryan Jaquez, and Brennon Babkowski had great first-time runs on the legendary Holmdel course. The Northstars will compete next in the CVC Divisional Championships at Thompson Park on October 17th.
