Nottingham Northstars: A Family United

Nottingham High School, officially known as Hamilton High School North, is one of three public high schools in the Hamilton Township School District of Mercer County, New Jersey. Located on Klockner Road, Nottingham primarily serves students from the Mercerville, Nottingham, and Hamilton Square sections of the township. Originally opened as a middle school, the building was transformed into a high school in the early 1980s to meet the growing needs of the community. The school’s name, “Nottingham,” honors the area's rich colonial history, tracing back to the early 1700s when local landowner Isaac Watson named the region after his English birthplace. Though the township later became known as Hamilton, the Nottingham name has endured as a proud part of the community’s identity.

Today, Nottingham High School is home to the Northstars, a vibrant and diverse student body and school community dedicated to academic excellence, school pride, and community engagement. The school offers a wide range of Advanced Placement courses and enrichment opportunities, including a nationally competitive robotics team, Team 2191, and a student-run newspaper, Star Status. With a strong focus on leadership, the arts, and service, Nottingham students participate in a variety of clubs such as the National Science Honor Society, Peer Leadership, and Prism Club. Guided by its mottos, Ad Astra Per Aspera(To the stars through difficulties) and We Are a Family United ——Nottingham High School continues to inspire students to reach for their highest potential.
